OKTOBERFEST BARBEQUE will occur on Saturday, September 30 from 4pm to 8pm at St. Alphonsus Church.  Barbecue by The Copper Pig, local craft beers & wine, cake/pie, live music, raffles baskets & cash drawings, and more.  A supervised children’s area featuring: a bouncy house, children’s games with prizes, face painting, pumpkin painting contest & teen video game.  All are welcome to join in the festivities.

THANK YOU to the members of the Picnic Committee and all the other volunteers who helped to make last Sunday’s Polish Picnic such a success.  It’s wonderful to see so many parishioners working together.  It’s even more wonderful to see so many visitors enjoying themselves. You might say the Polish Picnic is an occasion of hospitality to the whole Auburn community. As it says in the Letter to the Hebrews 13:2: Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have unknowingly entertained angels.

Next event will be a Chicken BBQ in October.

GOING ON VACATION?  Please use Online Giving to catch up on offertory.  Go to our website at www.marymarthaauburn.org and click on the Online Giving link. It’s quick and easy.  Your support during summer months helps sustain our parish.

THE SOCIAL MINISTRY COMMITTEE would like to thank everyone for the many donations for the migrant workers during the month of July.  Since the beginning of the school year is approaching we have found there is a need for non-perishable food/snack items for children’s lunches.  Our collection this month will be for the children.  We are greatly appreciative for the support of our projects to help in the community.

NOW IS THE TIME to register for our Faith Formation Programs (Summer Program, Sunday Morning Program, Monday Afternoon Program, and Confirmation Program).  You can find the handbook and registration forms in the back of the church.  You can also email me at daniel.tome@dor.org or call me at (315) 252-3439 if you have any questions.  I can email you the registration forms if there are none left.  I look forward to hearing from you.  Thank you and God bless.  Daniel Tomé, catechetical director.
